Cookie Policy
AMI Labs SAS ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates amilabshq.com and the AMI Labs industrial equipment world-model platform. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we set on amilabshq.com, why we set them, and how you can control your preferences.
AMI Labs is a B2B industrial AI company. Our primary audience is reliability engineers and plant operations teams evaluating our on-premise prediction platform. The cookies we set on amilabshq.com reflect that purpose: a minimal set required for the site to function, and - with your explicit consent - analytics data that helps us understand how technical evaluators navigate the site so we can improve it.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They allow the site to recognise your browser on subsequent visits, remember your preferences, and collect usage information. Similar technologies include local storage (values written directly to your browser's storage without a server request) and session storage (cleared when you close the tab).
Cookies may be set by amilabshq.com directly ("first-party cookies") or by third-party services embedded in the site ("third-party cookies"). They may persist after you close your browser ("persistent cookies") or expire at the end of your browser session ("session cookies").
2. Our Consent Model
We operate a prior-consent model. This means that only cookies strictly necessary for the site to function are set without asking. All other cookies - including analytics - are not set until you actively choose to accept them via the consent banner that appears when you first visit amilabshq.com.
You can change your preferences at any time by clicking "Cookie preferences" in the footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing based on consent before it was withdrawn.
Your consent choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the key cookie-consent with a 12-month expiry. After 12 months, we will ask again.
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
| Category | Examples | Lifetime | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Session authentication token; CSRF protection; cookie-consent preference (local storage) | Session or up to 12 months | Legitimate interest / ePrivacy exemption - strictly necessary for service delivery |
| Preferences | UI state preferences, selected view mode | Up to 12 months | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) |
| Analytics | Anonymised page views, session duration, feature engagement, entry/exit pages | Up to 13 months | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) |
| Marketing | We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies on amilabshq.com | N/A | N/A |
4. Third-Party Cookies
We use a small number of third-party services that may set their own cookies or access information stored in your browser, but only after you have given consent:
- Analytics services: We use a privacy-first web analytics tool configured to anonymise IP addresses and not to share individual-level data with third parties. Aggregate usage statistics are used solely to improve amilabshq.com and the clarity of our technical documentation.
- Font delivery: The page loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google may set cookies or log your IP address in connection with this request. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy.
- Icon library: We load Font Awesome icons from a CDN. This involves a request to the CDN provider's servers which may log your IP address.
We do not use advertising networks, retargeting pixels, social media tracking widgets, or any third-party cookie that tracks your behaviour across websites for commercial purposes.
5. Managing Your Preferences
You have several options to manage cookies:
- Consent banner: When you first visit amilabshq.com, a banner gives you the option to accept analytics cookies or restrict to essential only. Click "Cookie preferences" in the footer at any time to reopen the banner and change your choice.
- Browser settings: All modern browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Consult your browser's help documentation for instructions. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from functioning correctly.
- Third-party opt-outs: For Google's data collection via fonts and other services, you may adjust your settings at myaccount.google.com.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if we change the cookies we use or if legal requirements change. When we make material updates, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, display a renewed consent banner so you can review and re-confirm your preferences. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
